How can I maximize my results? To be optimally successful, red light therapy requires that the client be in good general health and their ability to process waste is NOT impaired. Should you have or had in the past any liver, kidney or lymphatic concerns, or any serious medical conditions, we strongly recommend you consult with your doctor prior to scheduling services.
Treatment packages are typically provided in packages of six or more sessions and appointments should be scheduled a minimum of 2 times per week, every week consecutively until all sessions have been completed. To further optimize your results, the following program is recommended to enhance the body’s ability to naturally process the fat (not mandatory).
Hydration is key to optimal cellular function, flushing the fatty waste and critical to the success of your sessions. Clients should drink a 1/2 ounce of water per body weight pound and a minimum of 64 ounces per day (2 liters); Eat sensibly and avoid coffee, tea, high in sugar and carbonated drinks 24 hours BEFORE your session, and throughout the entire series of your sessions as they cause dehydration. If consumed, drink an additional 16 ounces of water for each beverage consumed (this is over and above the minimum requirements).
Abstain from drinking alcohol as it’s a diuretic, highly caloric and affects the liver’s ability to process the liberated fat for about an hour after consumption. Avoid saunas and other dehydrating activities that may impede your fat flushing.
Food Intake – There should be no misconception that red light therapy is a license to increase your food intake. On the contrary, we recommend you maintain a low-fat diet as it allows your kidneys, liver and lymphatic system to purge the excess fat.

Lymphatic Stimulation – To enhance the body’s natural ability to metabolize and eliminate the released fatty compounds, at BellaVita BodyWorks we provide a complimentary 10 minute whole body vibration massage (WBV) and strongly suggest 30 minutes of light to moderate exercise within 3-4 hours of completing each session and each day thereafter such as walking, moderate exercise or even chores around the house. Strenuous exercise is NOT recommended as it reduces hydration. Massaging the treated areas daily are also helpful.
Keep your appointments – Receiving sessions more than 3 days apart may adversely affect your desired results.
Why exercise for 30 minutes after my session? Thirty minutes of cardio or aerobic exercise within the first 3-4 hours of completing your session is very important as it further stimulates lymphatic drainage and prevents the body from re-absorbing the fat.
How long will it last? As long as you want it too, if you’re willing to maintain a slimmer life style that includes a healthy diet, proper nutrition, lots of water and exercise. Just like anything else, to keep it, you have to maintain it! So keep your caloric intake and portions in check.
